I had no idea that there was an exception clause to the 13th Amendment. I was shocked when I realized that there is an exception and I am the exception. And from here on in, I will be a slave.

Ending the exception would be a path towards recognizing the value of prison labor. At least, men and women would then be treated as common workers and not exploited to the point where we are slaves.
