COOKOUT to
END THE EXCEPTIOn

The Thirteenth Amendment is celebrated for abolishing slavery and involuntary servitude. However, many don’t know that it includes an exception clause that allows for slavery and involuntary servitude as punishment for crime. We must pass the Abolition Amendment to end the exception. To do so, we must educate ourselves and our neighbors. Small gatherings are a great place to start spreading the word.

Consider hosting an #EndTheException cookout to educate your family and friends on prison slavery and get them to take action in support of the Abolition Amendment. The first 100 people to register are eligible to receive up to $100 for your cookout. Don’t worry, you won’t be on your own! We will send you The Cookout Guide to #EndTheException, which includes a short host script to help you run the show! And as always, please take appropriate precautions to keep your guests safe from COVID-19.
